I found my pot outside the Spode Works. I’ve long been a follower of kintsugi items as I love the fact that there is still beauty in brokenness. I was a youth leader and used this illustration to a number of the girls when they were going through a tough time. I went through my own tough time when my dad was poorly with mental health problems and it had an impact on me- I felt that I was broken by grief for someone who was still alive. I went through some tough times and had to examine myself and my thoughts and realise that despite my brokenness there can be healing and it just makes me more beautiful and able to help others.
